Here it goes...

I woke up today feeling anxious.  I think it's partly because I'm about to divulge what every woman wants to hide from the world - her true size.  And the other part was having to let go of some of the foods that I dearly love - mainly foods loaded with sugar and carbs.  I have a food addiction and I've known this for a good part of my life.  I use it to celebrate and when I am stressed or feeling down.  It's how I comfort myself so term 'lifestyle change' is very fitting for me as I am going to need to learn other ways to comfort myself.

So, here is my before picture (I just got done showering after going on a walk/jog):

My measurements:
Chest: 45 inches
Waist (at my belly button): 41 inches
Hips (at my hip bones): 48inches
L Arm: 14 3/4
L Leg: 27

I did not weigh myself this morning (not exactly sure where the scale is if you can believe that!) and a girl can use all the help she can get so I will post that tomorrow... pretty sure the measurements won't be changing overnight!

I also want to add some things to this blog like books I am enjoying and things that inspire me (hello pinterest ADDICT!).  Don't plan on a play by play of my meals unless it is awesome or of my workouts either.  I just don't know that any of that is truly that exciting or really all that memorable.  But do plan on weekly weigh ins and monthly measurements because those will be posted.  Hopefully you can celebrate with me!

In addition I need to establish some goals so I am working on that... I need to have some short goals and long goals (hopefully not too long :).  I will try to post those soon.  Some of my goals will be about other things, not just figure changing but things I am trying to accomplish in my life as well.

It Starts... The Best is Yet to Come.

I have struggled my entire life with my size.  I am not huge but I am not where I want to be.  Two years ago I was on a health kick and was very successful, dropping 70 pounds.  Well, they say all good things must come to an end... who said that?  That phrase sucks.  Anyway, I had weddings to motivate me to get the weight off and then slowly over the past year plus a couple of months, I put back on 1/3 of the weight.

So, I refuse to buy new clothes, I refuse to accept my backwards trend and I will be putting it out there for everyone to see.  Does this make me nervous?  Yes.  Do I think I might regret this? Some days.  But I might inspire one person to make a change and I hope it will help keep me accountable.  That may be selfish but I say, whatever works!

Here is my plan:  Weekly I will post at least one picture of my body and talk about my progress (weight and all - eek!).  In between there I may or may not blog - we'll see, I have not proven myself to be the best blogger the past two years.  You may have to read about other things happening in my life but that just adds to me being human.

So, if you are a hater, don't comment.  I am my worst critic, I don't need you to tell me what I am and am not.  On the other hand, should you want to leave comments that are positive, I am all for that.  At the end of the day what you need to know about me is that I truly believe I am fabulous and that I can do this.
